Dolphin, Penguin & Sea Lion Adventure Cruise

Dolphin Watch Adventure Tour

An island nature reserve with the world’s smallest penguins!

Just 45 minutes south of Perth & a 5 minute ride across the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park is Penguin Island- one of WA’s favourite day trip destinations. The star attraction is the little penguin- the smallest species in the world. Penguin feeding times are 10.30am, 12.30pm & 2.30pm daily. The island & marine park abounds with other wildlife including wild dolphins, sea lions, stingrays, pelicans, kings skinks & over 50 species of sea birds. Rockingham Wild Encounters operates an hourly ferry service to Penguin Island & a range of cruises to visit the wildlife and explore the marine park.

Things to do

Dolphin, Penguin & Sea Lion Adventure Cruise

See wild dolphins, sea lions and watch the penguin feeding at Penguin Island! This exhilarating cruise begins with getting up close and personal with the local wild dolphins. You may see mothers looking after new born calves, learn how they use stingrays to catch their dinner or see them spectacularly jumping out of the wake of our boat! After spending some quality time with the dolphins, the return cruise takes in the highlights of Shoalwater Bay including visiting a sea lion colony and pelican rookery before concluding on beautiful Penguin Island in time for the penguin feeding show at the Discovery Centre. After, enjoy free time to swim, snorkel (bring your own equipment) and explore nature trails before catching a return ferry of your choice at 1.10pm, 2.10pm, 3.10pm or 4pm.
