Open from 9.30am - 5.00pm every day of the year, including Christmas
Monarto Open Range Zoo
Open from 9.30am - 5pm (last entry at 3pm) every day of the year, except if the forecast temperature for Monarto is 40 degrees or above, in which case the zoo will be closed.
Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary
Monday - Tuesday 9am - 5pm (open late for group bookings)
Wednesday - Sunday 9am - Late (Excluding Christmas Day)
*Please note that on public holidays and school holidays Monday and Tuesdays nights opening hours are extended (9am – Late).
How To Get There
Adelaide Zoo
The Adelaide Zoo is located North of the CBD, near the Torrens River. Limited ticket parking is available on Plane Tree Drive, War Memorial Drive and Frome Road. There is no parking available inside Adelaide Zoo.
Monarto Open Range Zoo
From Adelaide take the Monarto exit off the South Eastern Freeway to the Princes Highway and follow the signs. Approximate travelling time 1 hour - distance approximately 64km from Adelaide CBD to Monarto Zoo.
Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary
Follow the Princes Hwy and take the Stirling exit (B33). At the first roundabout in Stirling, turn right into Avenue Rd. Continue for 5km along Avenue Rd (becomes Longwood Road), before turning left into Stock Rd. Warrawong is 300m along Stock Rd, on the left.
